The Dark Knight movie a year away, Batman 3 rumours start

After Rich Johnston at Comic Book Resources revealed last week that one of the characters from Batman Begins may not live to see the closing credits in The Dark Knight, this week’s rumour suggests that one of the major new characters just might.

Cinema Blend writes that not only is work on Batman 3 already underway, but Heath Ledger may be in it. Other than Joker and Two Face, the third movie is expected to see the arrival of another well known character from the Batman series: Catwoman. If this is true, there is a long season of casting rumours ahead.

In somewhat related comic book adaptation news, John Favreau posted a teaser alert on MySpace yesterday, saying that the official Iron Man teaser will be available on Apple.com/trailers on Sept. 11. There’s another one to look forward to.
