In recent weeks, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of The 4400, with fans wondering if the series will return for a fifth season. Two days ago, there was a video chat with three members of cast, Megalyn Echikunwoke (Isabel Tyler), Jenni Baird (Meghan Doyle) and Chad Faust (Kyle Baldwin) on USA’s official site.
The actors did not confirm that there will be another season and, in fact, suggested the opposite and looked and sounded just a bit too demoralized when faced with questions about the show’s future for the average fan not to be worried. They also urged fans to start a letter writing campaign to USA to keep the series alive, indicating that this Sunday’s episode, The Great Leap Forward may just be the last we see of the show. (And that there are more major character changes and sharp turns in the main storylines to come in the finale, which is pretty much in line with the short teaser on the official site.)
Time for another “save the show” campaign, it seems. Hopefully, it is a successful one.
