Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be getting another season on Fox, reports TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello.
The television network has yet to issue an official confirmation, but the news is anything but unexpected. A month ago, reports surfaced that the show had begun booking directors for season two and, earlier this week, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly confirmed this to Hollywood Reporter, saying:
“They’re really the lead candidates at this point. We’ve already started staffing on Sarah Connor. Although it was an unusual season, it will end up finishing by far and away the strongest new drama of the season.”
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles stars Lena Headey (Sarah Connor), Thomas Dekker (John Connor), Summer Glau (Cameron Phillips), Brian Austin Green (Derek Reese), Richard T. Jones (agent James Ellison), Dean Winters (Charley Dixon) and Garret Dillahunt (Cromartie).
UPDATE: It’s official. Fox has picked up the show for another 13 episodes. Season two is expected to air in the late summer.
