Be the first to see Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D in digital 3D at Cineplex Entertainment Theatres

Advance tickets are now available at select Cineplex Entertainment theatres for the first summer film available in digital 3D Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, which opens in wide release on Friday July 11, 2008. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.cineplex.com, on your mobile phone and at participating Cineplex Entertainment theatre box offices (see list below).

“Cineplex Entertainment is very pleased to offer our guests across the country the opportunity to be amongst the first to see Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D,” said Pat Marshall, Vice-President, Communications and Investor Relations for Cineplex Entertainment. “With 41 Real D 3D systems strategically installed across the country, guests can now enjoy the completely immersive experience that 3D technology provides.”

Cineplex Entertainment added 41 digital projection systems enhanced with Real D 3D technology to select theatres across the country in time for guests to enjoy the release of Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D. Other 3D movies scheduled to be released this year include Fly Me to the Moon in August, Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D in October and Bolt in November. In 2009, there are 11 3D movies scheduled for release including the highly anticipated Monsters vs. Alien, Ice Age 3 and Avatar.

An exciting adventure based on the classic Jules Verne novel “JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH,” JOURNEY 3-D stars Brendan Fraser (Crash, The Mummy) as a science professor whose untraditional hypotheses have made him the laughing stock of the academic community. But on an expedition in Iceland, he and his nephew stumble upon a major discovery that launches them on a thrilling journey deep beneath the Earth’s surface, where they travel through never-before-seen worlds and encounter a variety of unusual creatures.
