Megalyn Echikunwoke promoted to regular on CSI: Miami

Megalyn Echikunwoke has been cast on CSI: Miami as the new medical examiner and will become a series regular when the series returns for the seventh season on CBS on September 22.

“Megalyn Echikunwoke is an exciting addition to CSI: Miami. She brings savvy humor to her role of Dr. Tara Price, a young medical examiner whose methods are on the cutting edge of technology,” says Miami executive producer Ann Donahue.

Echikunwoke has made a number of notable appearances on major shows, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 24 and Veronica Mars to That ‘70s Show, Boston Legal and Supernatural. Her most memorable recent roles are probably the villainous ones she played in The 4400 and Jericho.

CSI: Miami also stars David Caruso, Emily Procter, Adam Rodriguez, Jonathan Togo, Eva La Rue and Evan Ellingson.

The seventh season premieres on Monday, September 22 at 10 PM ET/PT on CBS
