Empire names 500 Greatest Movies of All Time
Empire magazine has posted the list of The 500 Greatest Movies of All Time. The Godfather, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Empire Strikes Back took the first three spots, while the usual number one, Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane, ended up in the 28th place.

Johnny Depp signs on for Alice in Wonderland
Johnny Depp will reunite with Tim Burton yet again to play the Mad Hatter in Burton’s upcoming Disney flick Alice in Wonderland. He was confirmed for the part earlier today at the Walt Disney Studio Showcase in Hollywood.
Burton signed a deal to direct Alice last November and the movie is currently in pre-production.

Netflix to stream hit Disney and CBS TV series
Netflix, Inc. has announced two new agreements with the CBS Television Network and Disney-ABC Television Group. The agreements will allow current episodes of several popular TV shows to be streamed at Netflix.
Netflix members now have instant access to a library of 12,000 choices on their computers and TV sets.

2008 Primetime Emmy Awards: Mad Men, John Adams, 30 Rock rule
30 Rock, Mad Men and John Adams were the big winners at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards, presented last night by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Flashpoint gets a second season on CBS
CBS has renewed the Canadian cop procedural Flashpoint for a second season. The 13 new episodes will be broadcast next year.
Flashpoint, originally developed by CTV and Pink Sky Entertainment, is the top scripted show this summer, with 7.73 million viewers on average. It was broadcast simultaneously on CBS and CTV.
