DGA Awards 2011 nominees announced

The Directors Guild of America has announced the nominees for this year's DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for 2011. The five directors competing for this year's honours are Woody Allen, David Fincher, Michel Hazanavicius, Alexander Payne, and Martin Scorsese. VES Awards 2012 – the nominees

The Visual Effects Society has revealed the list the nominees for Outstanding Visual Effects in film, television, commercial, games, and special venues categories. The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and air on ReelzChannel. Two winners are already known. National Society of Film Critics names Melancholia Best Picture

The National Society of Film Critics has announced the list of the winners today. Lars von Trier's Melancholia was named Best Picture and Kirsten Dunst Best Actress, while The Tree of Life took home the Best Director and Best Actor honours.
