The Directors Guild of America has announced the nominees for this year's DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for 2011. The five directors competing for this year's honours are Woody Allen, David Fincher, Michel Hazanavicius, Alexander Payne, and Martin Scorsese. The Visual Effects Society has revealed the list the nominees for Outstanding Visual Effects in film, television, commercial, games, and special venues categories. The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and air on ReelzChannel. Two winners are already known. Lars von Trier's Melancholia was named Best Picture and Kirsten Dunst Best Actress, while The Tree of Life took home the Best Director and Best Actor honours.
