Broadcast Film Critics honour Slumdog Millionaire, Heath Ledger, Sean Penn

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) announced the winners of the 14th Critics' Choice Awards at a ceremony held yesterday at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Slumdog Millionaire was the big winner of the evening, taking five awards for Best Picture, Best Director for Danny Boyle, Best Writer for Simon Beaufoy, Best Young Actor/Actress for Dev Patel and Best Composer for A.R. Wall-E voted Best Picture by Los Angeles Critics Association

Disney-PIXAR's Wall-E has become the first animated feature in history to win the title of Best Picture from the Los Angeles Critics Association.
